Why did your prices increase so much?
For the past few years, I’ve been keeping my rates steady - not taking increases - to make services more affordable during the pandemic. I wanted to serve as many people as possible. Now, it’s time to get pricing back up to Market Value. I’m basically catching up on cost-of-living-adjustments for several years.
What if I’ve pre-booked services beyond Feb 1?
The new prices will apply to all sessions after February 1st 2024.
Is gratuity expected? If so, what amount?
Thank you for asking! Generally, in this field of massage therapy and healing arts … Yes! Gratuity is an expected practice. It can range from 10% - 30%. With 15% being a default amount. 20%-25% or more, when you’re feeling extra grateful for the service.
What’s your cancelation policy?
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please do so as soon as possible. There is no fee if you cancel 48 hours before your service.
With less than 48 hours notice, 100% of scheduled service is due. Paid within three days.
This applies to all reasons for cancelation: work-related, illness, family events, traffic … all reasons.
Will you be offering any discounts? Package or Punchcard deals?

Package + Gift Certificate Fine Print
• Packages & Punchcards require all sessions be pre-booked and prepaid.
• All Packages & Punchards recommended to be used within 6 months to optimally support body's needs + shifts with receiving care.
• The regular cancellation policy applies which is: all missed appointments, or changes within 48 hours are subject to the following fee: 100% of scheduled service. Meaning the missed appointment from a package is voided or complete.
What payments do you accept? What do you prefer?
I accept most payments: Venmo, PayPal, credit cards, debit cards, cash, HSA cards, FSA cards.
Venmo is my preferred, when possible.
Do you take cash?
Yes I take cash. I report this income, and I can provide a receipt or Superbill if needed.
Do you work with Insurance?
I accept HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards. Sorry, I do not work directly with Insurance. I can also provide Superbills or anything you need to get reimbursed.
I recommend clients contact their insurance providers prior to our initial consultation & session to confirm.

What is Maya Abdominal Therapy?
Is a form of traditional Maya folk medicine, incorporating herbology, nutrition, and abdominal massage from the lineage of Don Elijio Panti, Ms. Hortense Robinson, & Dr. Rosita Arvigo.
What is the Abdominal Massage?
Abdominal massage varies from traditions, cultures and schools. In the Maya Abdominal Therapy technique it's noninvasive, external touch including upper and lower abdominal work and low back and tailbone. The massage is most known for benefiting optimal uterine position, general reproductive & digestive organ health.
How long is the initial Maya Abdominal massage session?
Your choice of a 90 minute or a 120 minute session. Either way, the session involves going over the intake form verbally, receiving the Maya work and learning Maya self-care practices for home.
How long is each Maya Abdominal Therapy follow-up session?
60, 90, or 120 minutes.
Before and After
Can I eat beforehand? After?
Please - no eating for an hour before. It's ideal to eat lightly a few hours prior. Drink water in small amounts, regularly, throughout the day.
How about exercise?
It depends on the exercise and the person. We can talk about this together.
What about during my menstrual cycle?
It's okay for all services, with the exception of Maya Abdominal Massage. Regarding Maya Abdominal Massage, the session will be modified during the menstrual cycle to upper abdominal work, low back & tailbone. Physical work will be avoided directly over the uterus but etheric strokes will be applied. Etheric strokes are given about an inch above the physical body over the uterus creating a subtle reception meanwhile keeping the potency of the work intact. Often clients will report feeling the massage strokes as if they were receiving physical touch here. It’s because the etheric field is the space closest to the physical body, allowing influential work to be done while one is in softer phase.
